This individual will cultivate new business relationships, maintain existing accounts, and ensure the fulfillment of established sales goals through estimating and proposing on fire protection (sprinkler and alarm) service, inspections and tenant improvement projects. Embraces a consultative selling technique that includes the ability to analyze client needs, communicate appropriate solutions and facilitate sales closures.


  • Review construction project plans, requirements, drawings and specifications; prepare cost estimates and determine project constructability
  • Secure plans and designs for developing pricing and proposals, acquire subcontract pricing, and comply with codes and standards
  • Maintain contact with subcontractors of various trades and work to expand list of qualified subcontractors
  • Evaluate site conditions and gather information necessary to provide a cost estimate for the required inspections (per NFPA 25 & 72)
  • Establish contact with prospects and potential buyers by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads, and utilizing outlined marketing strategies
  • Develop positive and ongoing relationships with customers to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Define customer needs and develop sales strategies to enhance customer understanding of offerings
  • Meet or exceed sales plan objectives and develop and maintain an active proposal backlog
  • Maintain historical record of all sales and bidding documents/stats within company software
  • Submit all required sales reports, data, expenses, and correspondence accurately and timely
  • Conduct coordination with other departments to ensure proper handoff of job information


  • Bachelor's degree preferred or a minimum of 6 years direct industry experience required
  • Fire sprinkler or alarm design/PM experience preferred
  • NICET Certification preferred
  • Driver License with Clean MVR
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office programs
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Strong communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of construction documents and plans
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to negotiate uneven terrain, climb step and extension ladders
