J&J Bar Plus continues to grow and add high-character sales representatives to our organization. Business Development Representatives are out on the road every day, meeting with valued customers, visiting job sites, and building relationships with key stakeholders to ensure continued success. Our Business Development team consists of self-starters with strong problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and a drive to succeed and communicate effectively with a diverse customer base as well as the members of their team.

As a key member of the Business Development Team, this person will focus on developing multi-market business in their given territory, increasing market penetration and revenue with our full product offering.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a complete understanding of products
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all relevant customer issues, pricing and billing procedures, and collections statuses.
  • Learn and remain knowledgeable of company's products, market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies.
  • Manage a balanced distribution network
  • Develop and maintain lasting industry relationships with current clients and prospects
  • Ensure quotes and orders are done in a timely manner, meeting deadlines from sales team and customers
  • Report on activities, progress, market information, and new ideas
  • Integrate into local trade organizations and professional associations
  • Polished and professional demeanor that will promote our established reputation in the market

Qualifications:

  • Previous outside sales experience selling nickel and stainless round bar, forgings, pvf, and value-added products and services.
  • Ability to develop and nurture long standing relationships
  • Solid project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; able to work in a virtual setting with minimal supervision.
  • Positive professional attitude at all times
