Job Summary:
Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM) and Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) Engineering is responsible for all aspects of RAM/FRACAS activity within the Raytheon Missiles & Defense business unit.

As a RAM/FRACAS Engineer, you'll ensure the performance compliance of both customer and internal requirements.

Responsibilities to anticipate:
Perform FRACAS tasks, including trend analysis and failure investigations
Assess RAM performance: MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure), MTBCF (Mean Time Between Critical Failure) and Ao (Operational Availability)
Define/allocate RAM requirements
Perform Reliability Predictions
Perform Failure Modes Effects Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
Support Reliability Test Planning and Execution: Accelerated, Growth, Demonstration

This role is HYBRID. Both onsite and remote work are required. The incumbent is responsible for commuting costs to and from the Tucson facility.

Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically Requires: Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant employment experience OR an Associates degree and 4 years of relevant experience. In absence of a Bachelor's degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required.

Employment Experience:

  • Engineering experience
  • Experience with reliability analysis, failure investigations, and/or root cause/corrective action (RCCA).
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Value:

  • Experience with Reliability Engineering Concepts
    • Conducting data analysis and trending
    • Defining/allocating RAM requirements
    • Perform RAM trade-off analyses
    • Experience assessing RAM performance of fielded equipment.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
  • Strong communication skills; Ability to present to diverse audiences
  • Ability & desire to work in large teams
  • Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain a US Government security clearance within the first year of employment.
