Jardeg is currently recruiting for Journeyman Carpenters to join the team currently constructing the Portage La Prairie bridge.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Erect wood framework; walls, partitions, joints, drywalls and rafters
Builds stairs
Build forms for concrete
Working from blueprints instructions from supervisors does layout-measuring, marking and arranging of various construction materials
Cut, shape and join
Checks accuracy of work and makes adjustments as required
Studies blueprints for work planning
Constructs and forms chutes for pouring concrete
Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
Acts as a work leader and mentors to apprentice carpenters
Informs immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures

Education/Experience:

Journeyperson status OR minimum Or an equivalent combination of experience, training and education
CSTS/SCOT
