Your main responsibilities are:

Perform routine maintenance within the laboratory (e.g. cleaning bathrooms, cleaning kitchen, mopping and sweeping floors)
Ensure any safety related maintenance items are addressed promptly
Performs outside building and grounds maintenance (e.g. snow removal, spring clean-up, windows)
Provide support to the Facilities Supervisor as required
Act as a backup point of contact for the landlord and contractors who have responsibility for maintenance of laboratory and building equipment (e.g. HVAC, make-up air unit, plumbing, electrical)

You are the ideal candidate if:

High school diploma required; post-secondary education in a related field preferred
1 year of general maintenance or equivalent experience preferred
Eager to learn and has the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail
Positive attitude and great multitasking abilities
Strong computer skills
Lift permit is a plus

Working Conditions:

High level of work production in fast paced environment
Hands on building maintenance work, climbing, bending , lifting
The job requires flexible working hours, and some extended hours as required
Some out of town travel, as required (a possibility, but rare)
Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs unassisted
May involve long periods of standing
Hazardous materials are handled using established safety procedures and appropriate equipment
