H&M is also a founding member of the ET&D Partnership, a collaborative industry partnership working to reduce fatalities, injuries, and illnesses in the construction industry is currently recruiting for a Fleet Coordinator. Dispatcher job duties 1) Receives calls for equipment needs and provides the equipment requested. 2) Tracks equipment moves between locations. 3) Arranges transportation for equipment. 4) Maintains equipment tracking and transfer records. (Electronic record keeping.) 5) Maintains equipment assignment and yard location records. (For area and yard.) 6) Procures rental equipment when no company owned equipment is available. 7) Ensures equipment is properly numbered. 8) Ensures proper P.O. is procured for short term rental agreements. 9) Communicates to area managers when equipment is coming and going from their area. 10) Replaces rental equipment with company owned equipment as it becomes available. 11) Generates transfer sheets for each piece of equipment moved. 12) Follows processes developed in house for equipment procurement, release, and transfer. 13) Dispatches team of drivers, who report to him/her on a daily basis. 14) Works with vendors in procuring the proper equipment in a timely manner. 15) Negotiates freight costs with vendors for equipment moves 16) Retrieves most cost efficient quotes for equipment moves 17) Works with shop foreman on equipment being delivered and completion deadlines 18) Conducts daily inventory of what is in the yard Required: + High school diploma or GED equivalent. + Must be familiar with Microsoft Office and Excel. + Proficient in spoken/written English. + Previous experience. Desired: + Familiarity and understanding of DOT vehicle load height and weight restrictions, permit loads, acquiring permits, etc. + Knowledge of construction and/or heavy construction equipment related to Gas, Pipeline, and Civil work. + Experience with logistics. + Knowledge of California Air Resources Board (CARB) regulations. + Must be able to multitask and prioritize. + A positive attitude and professional conduct are required. Production of quality work while being self-supervised and motivated is essential. + Team work, communication, solid work ethic, and customer service skills are traits necessary to be successful in this position.
