Responsibilities for Project Estimator Review incoming ITB's to determine validity and understand scope of work Review plan and specifications for product quantities and details to ensure proposed products meet architect and owner needs Perform take offs as appropriate Use software to build doors, frames and hardware Evaluate vendor quotes to obtain accurate pricing on products Communicate effectively with internal and external customers as well as architects both verbally and in writing Prepare cost analysis and estimates ensuring timely completion Review and evaluate cost estimates

Qualifications for Project Estimator/Manager Detail oriented and strong math skills Able to read construction plans and develop cost estimates Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines Very strong computer skills, including excel, word and adobe PDF Strong written and verbal communication skills Estimating involves hours of quiet concentration Ability to enjoy a fast work-life, in a family first environment. Every day will bring the challenge of tracking and prioritizing tasks. Able to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of door, frame and hardware applications as they relate to UL, fire code, building code, ADA, life safety and other restrictions that relate to the general commercial construction industry. Knowledge of electronic hardware **A PLUS Preferred 3+ years' experience in construction estimating/management Salary: DOE plus Health benefit allowance, paid time off and Retirement program Job Type: Full-time - 40 hours per week with potential for flexible hours.
