CONSTRUCTION LITIGATION ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY - MIDLEVEL
Location: Chicago, IL
An AmLaw 50 national law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their Construction Law practice group in Chicago.
Candidate Profile:
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
- Active bar admission in Illinois(link removed)>
- 2+ years of experience in construction law or equivalent experience.
- Proven litigation experience with various construction disputes, including delay and disruption claims, payment disputes (mechanics liens, bonds, and stop notice claims), and breach of contract claims(link removed)>
- Experience in counseling, dispute resolution, and contract drafting and negotiation is essential.
- Familiarity with preparing and negotiating construction contracts, change orders, and other construction-related agreements is beneficial, as the role will include transactional work.
- Excellent academic credentials and strong references are required, along with superb written and oral communication skills.
- Prior experience in an AmLaw 100 firm or a judicial clerkship is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the construction law practice by providing legal counsel and representation to clients in various construction-related matters.
- Prepare and negotiate construction contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
- Engage in litigation related to construction disputes, advocating for clients interests effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality legal services.
