I
General Summary:

Support facilities and PE with building construction projects as directed by management
Support PE with equipment, utilities, and project management

II
Essential Job Functions:

A
Manage construction projects from start to finish (or as directed) including budget, schedule, quality and safety.
B
Create construction scope of work including design agreement with facilities and Production Engineering.
a
Gather production equipment, heating, cooling, lighting, and other utility requirements and develop electrical and mechanical piping scope of work through engineering and benchmarking studies.
b
Utilize portable electric power meter to measure equipment electrical usage.
c
Gather space, dock and trailer parking requirements

d
Utilize manpower projections and existing plant benchmarking to determine restroom, parking, break area and office requirements.
C
Lead contractor bid meetings and attaining multiple bids for work.
D
Develop budgetary documentation and support for budget approvals (Ringi).

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

Education:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or technical field required, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Experience:
Entry to four (4) years of relevant experience
Manufacturing Internship or Coop required.

Personal/Technical Skills:
General manufacturing and industrial equipment knowledge required.
General understanding and working knowledge of basic engineering principles.
Strong organization and planning skills.
Ability to communicate and work well with all levels of the organization.
Ability to compile effective and concise visual reports.
Ability to multitask, manage diversity, and facilitate problem solving and resolution.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Effective time management skills.
Ability to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Language Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Spanish or Japanese would be beneficial but in not required

Computer/Software:
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD.

IV
Work Environment/Conditions:

Office: Open Office Environment, moderate noise level.

Plant: Standard automotive plant environment with moderate noise level
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, hearing protection, etc
may be required in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial areas
Personal attire standards may apply.

Travel: Must be willing to travel up to 90% of the time for periods up to 9 months during construction
During project planning and approval, must be willing to travel 0 to 2 nights per week
Must be willing to work and travel on weekends 1 or 2 days per year which would be planned

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, see, and hear
The team member must be capable of walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time and is occasionally required to lift up to 30 pounds
