Our company specializes in the in-line inspection (ILI) of oil, gas, and chemical pipelines. We have designed and manufactured proprietary self-contained electromechanical machines that travel down the inside of oil and gas pipelines to proactively inspect for internal and external corrosion or other damage.

Job Description:

A Staff Accountant is responsible for the correct and timely processing of payables and receivables/collections. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills that allow him or her to coordinate resources for multiple projects. This full-time position has no direct reports, and reports to Director of Finance at the headquarters - the north side of Indianapolis, IN.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage, process and analyze accounts payable activity
  • Record invoices to appropriate g/l accounts on a timely basis
  • Process check runs accurately and timely
  • Work with vendors to ensure that all payables are recorded and paid
  • Process periodic expense reports
  • Ensure that appropriate documentation is submitted, transactions are coded correctly in g/l, and statements reconcile to g/l activity
  • Ensure vendors submit W-9 forms when appropriate and help with year-end 1099 reporting
  • Manage, process and analyze sales billing activity
  • Work with sales reps to ensure that invoices are accurate and sent to appropriate individuals
  • Ensure timely collection of billings
  • Daily review and reconcile bank activity for all cash accounts
  • Ensure that appropriate journal entries are processed
  • Process and assist with other periodic payments and compliance reports
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Five years related experience
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Excel and QuickBooks Online
  • Knowledge of A/P and A/R processes
  • Experience with multiple locations and currencies
  • Organized, proactive, energetic, desire to solve problems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment
