Role Summary

As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a highly interactive and mission critical role helping our clients find the balance between what is important to them and for them as they strive to live the best life possible. You will have the unique ability to make a positive and lasting impact on their lives. A DSP candidate is patient and flexivle and willing to help individuals with daily tasks such as:

Light housekeeping
Meal Prep
Running Errands
Medication management
Ensuring chances for social interaction with othersw

•Superior ability to communicate at all levels.

We currently have part time and full time positions available and some weekend and/or evening hours may be required.Typically, you come to SSVA as a Direct Support Professional on a path to leadership and remain there throughout the on-boarding period. This allows for you to experience our culture and values to see if they're a good fit. •Highly motivated.

•Effective time management skills.

•Ability and willingness to perform task with minimal direct supervision and to accept supervision and constructive feedback.

•Proof of highest level of education.

•Ability to pass criminal/ registry background checks.

•clear tuberculosis screening

•Ability to pass and maintain CPR/First Aid, Medicaid Waiver Certification, and DSP Core Competencies.

•Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
